Mountain Climbers is a strength training exercise that can easily turn itself into a cardio workout (hence the word "climbing" in the name, which is cardio). Depending on how fast or slow you go, you can use this exercise for both your strength training AND cardio goals.
Slow Mountain Climbers: Strength Training Workout - Works the Abs (Six Pack Muscle aka Rectus Abdominis), Back (Erector Spinae Muscle Group), glutes, hamstrings and quadriceps (entire legs). Creates "bulkier" and toned muscle development.
Fast Mountain Climbers: Cardio Workout - Works to increase heart rate, increases breathing rate, increases metabolic rate, improves functioning and increases rate of all bodily processes, creates "lean" or smaller muscle development (less "bulkier" muscles) and more!
